DEAR CHERRY PICKERS,

OPENING DAY IS COMING SOON AT VILLA DEL SOL SWEET CHERRY FARMS!

It is almost Cherry Season at Villa del Sol again.  The Cherries are ripening nicely on the trees.  I will post some new pictures in the next couple of days.  We expect to have ripe Cherries and be able to open around the 1st of June.  I will send out emails and post our website, www.upickcherries.com to confirm.

We will be making some modifications this year as follows:

  • Everyone entering the property must wear a face mask at all times.
  • We will only use heavy plastic bags for picking and to take the Cherries home in.  No buckets this year.
  • We will of course have our hand washing stations as we always do.  You are of course welcome to bring your own hand sanitizer and wipes with you.
  • We will post directional signs for coming and going and we will give everyone instrucions upon entering the orchard.  Please follow all directions given.
  • We would prefer you use credit/debit cards to pay.  We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
  • We plan to only be open on weekdays.  We will post our days and hours on our website.  Be sure to REFRESH the website frequently to get the most current informaiton.  Or you can call the Cherry Hotline 661 270-1356 for updates.
  • Finally, all of our normal rules will be enforced:  no picnicking in the orchard; you cannot bring coolers or backpacks into the orchard; keep you children with you at all times.

We are excited about the upcoming season.  Due to current conditions however, we suggest that elderly, vulnerable people do not come to pick this year.  We will NOT have tables for gathering like we usually do.

We will definitely have lots of raw, local Honey this year.  Our beekeeper is bottling the Honey now and will be delivering the first bottling to us soon.

As the season progresses, we will keep you posted so watch for updates.  This spring has been challenging for all but we will get through this.  See you at the orchard!
